Before You Start
- Prepare your flashcard deck (20-50 cards recommended)
- Shuffle the cards thoroughly
- Set up two areas: one for corrects, one for errors
- Select your timing duration (1 minute is standard)
During the Timing
- Press Start and begin immediately
- Look at the front of each card
- Say your answer out loud
- Flip to check—place in correct or error pile
- Stop when the timer ends
Pro Tip: After the timing, count your correct and error cards. Record these numbers to track your progress over time. Aim for a minimum of 40 corrects per minute with 0-2 errors for fluency.
